Cosmetics


Cosmetics are substances used to enhance the appearance of the human body.


The word cosmetics derives from the Greek meaning "technique of dress and ornament”.


Cosmetics include:
Skin-care creams
Powders
Perfumes
Lipsticks
Fingernail and toe nail  polish                                                                  
Foundation                   



 
Skin-care products - include creams and lotions to moisturize the face and body.
Face powders - Face powder are used to set the foundation, giving a matte finish, and also to conceal small flaws or blemishes.
Perfume - A fragrant liquid typically made from essential oils extracted from flowers and spices to give the body a pleasant scent.
Lipstick - Lipstick is a cosmetic product containing pigments, oils, waxes, and emollients that applies colour, texture, and protection to the lips.
Nail polish - is a lacquer applied to human fingernails or toenails to decorate and protect the nail plate.
Foundation - used to smooth out the face and cover spots or uneven skin coloration.
